The process of Couple Therapy can be confronting – but usually what is being faced at home can be much more daunting. A high level of conflict or distress that resonates throughout daily life can be exhausting and debilitating. The journey of Couple Therapy becomes a process of revelation, leading to resolution and growth.
Counselling can help you change your life and how you feel about yourself. It can help you improve how you handle the many issues that life throws at you and get you back on your feet and move on with renewed confidence, understanding and growth.
Counsellors are trained to listen, not to judge or criticise. Focus will solely be on you and what is happening in your life. A Counsellor does not take sides or problem solve, but explores the issues you are facing and makes sense of what is happening and why.
The very fact that there is someone there for you, who listens can be healing. Many clients have shared issues that they have never been able to talk about before in their lives. Just having someone else know what you’re carrying or facing, having someone walk beside you while you’re dealing with difficult issues, can be comforting.
